I inserted a striped background (warning tape), which I was originally going to have in the lower half of the magazine, but it worked well in the centre. This adds to the dangerous image which would appeal to my target audience with its dark and dirty appearance. I downloaded and inserted some fonts into Photoshop CS6, from the websites www.fontspace.com and www.dafont.com and used these. I used Photoshop to make these CD's slightly see through by changing their opacity, so that the warning stripes were still visible through the CD. I also placed these on a slant so that they stood out from the writing and other backgrounds on the cover. The tools I used were: the blend tool (to blend my model in with the background), the burn tool (to enhance some of the models features), opacity (to make the images look unusual and interesting) and the lasso tool to remove my model from the white background and blend him in with the background. I also experimented using lines to make my text stand out and rotation to place some of my images on a slant.
